Water

CIMG2391Just Say’n  what a difference a day makes.  Colorado has gone from Dry to WEEEEETTTTT overnight.  This world is ever amazing, when I hear weather people talk and history people talk  – I’m reminded of those words in the bible  1 Corinthians 1:27 …but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, – what could be softer and yet harder then Water?   Ahh but Living Water, Water of Life – 1 john 5:6 This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

Our lives as believers are started with belief and faith and spring up from the water of Baptism to signify death to the old man – buried and the new raising to new life in Christ.   God parted the water of the sea for His people to cross to safety – could this also be a symbolic use of water?

Jesus turned the water to wine at the wedding feast,  could this also be a symbolic use of water?  I say yes, when we partake in communion we sip the cup to represent the blood of the Lamb that saves us.  I say water is the tool of change, or maybe the symbolic conduit of passage from death to life.  Water was used by God to clean up a wicked world, and the same water floated God’s servants to safety.  Without water we would not exist, the human body is 90% water – here is the question.   “Is yours Living Water?”
